week 1/2 aquarium!

II know that I haven't updated this blog for a very long time. But, that is because I have been busy studying and haven't been adventuring out. =(

second day of class! the day i actually remembered that i havent taken a picture of the classroom, so i thought, hey why not?

a week later, which is friday, i help made this as a whole class for my... KOREAN TRADITIONAL COOKING CLASS!! =D although i am actually quite disappointed with this class. the class mostly chop up the ingredients and do the easier part, and the instructors are the one cooking the food, and then they serve it when it is done. So it isn't really a cooking class. but i can understand, since there is alot of students and they are limited in kitchen supplies and stoves.

this is my second day of school dinner.. tonkatsu ramen. sorry the pictures are slightly out of order since i didn't organize the photos.

this is the weekend.. on sunday of the first week, we decided to venture out. this the bridge we go under to get into shinchon, the city where all the college students hangout.. thats where all the street vendors, bars, restaurants stores, karaoke.. and etc are..a very busy place.

i think this is the second week. I bought this choco pie.. except its a complete choco pie! I like this version waaaay more!
one of my dinner during the first week. seaweed soup and rice.. and aloe drink. i think it was something like mi yuk something.. i dont remember what it was called.

this is the new headphone set i bought for skyping since i realized the one i brought is kinda breaking.. like the headphone part's wire is slightly broken

instant jajangmyun.. yum i found it when i was making porridge. a japanese student who was also studying abroad was making it. i was soo happy when i found out they had it in the store too.



OMG!! it's KOREAN PREUSSERS!


it 2pm and t-ara! and also this is the city life of sinchon
i decided to buy a eye mask since at night the airconditioner's light bothers me. isn't the mask cute! i couldnt decide on whether getting this one or this other really cute one that was yellow and has a winking chick (i think its called piyo) on it. i end up picking blue of course because I hate yellow.. but the piyo was soo cute!



today we are making this rice wrap thing.. kinda like the chinese rice wrap called "jong" this uses lotus leaf instead tho
this is last night.. i had soo much homework. darn me and my procrastination..


this is all of my textbooks. i have 4 for korean language class + 1 vocab booklet, 1 for psychology, and 1 for korean cinema

this is coex mall. yvette and i randomly decided to go out today, so we decided to go to the aquarium. its a LOOONG ride, but worth it. soo much shopping that i can do here.

the aquarium sooo well decorated... and it's sooo creative! I love this place. it is totally worth the $18.5 i paid!

I have more pictures than my comments since i dont remember everything too well. i hope it' explanatory enough, i'll sleep now and hopefully i can update this more often.. but I have my midterms this week.. yikes! good night! i'll will be staying up pretty late tonight! and waking up early to study.. probably 7am?

Day 5 setting up bank accounts, cellphone, and paid the classes/housing 6/27/11

This morning, we woke up at 7 but we didn't go out until 11am between those time, both of us were talking to our parents and friends on aim and skype. We walked to the woori bank to set up our accounts. two of the worker there spoke english, while one didn't. I realized that alot of people that works here actually don't speak english even though they are inside or near a International school. well after we set up our account, we went back to our school to try the atm with our checking book. but turns our we couldn't use it because it requires an admission number or a activation number. we end up going back to the bank again and got a checking card. yvette transfer the money she needed to to her housing and tuition. When ti was my turn, becuase there was a long line behind me, I messed up typing in the account to send and end up making a mistake. we went back to the bank and lucky it was an error and wasn't sent to an account. so I did the transaction again and it worked. we went back to millennium hall and got our phones to work and got our t-shirts for yonsei. we went to the cafeteria to eat [ i got kimchi chigae] yum. I also took Yvette's seaweed soup since she would be too full. Afterward, I got a Red Bean Icecream bar. after we finish eating, decided to look for our class that will be held tomorrow. I left my camera, so all these photos are taken by Yvette.

looks nice.. I don't know what this building is but it is right next to the building for our class. we met two people from Singapore who are also taking the same class as us.


on our way back to our dorms, we decided to take a short cut through the yonsei forest. we found this random statue there.
